Fault-tracing information
This diagnostic trouble code can also be generated due to short intermittent open circuits in the ignition. This is solved according to technical journal TJ 4920. If TJ 4920 is introduced, the problem cause can be searched for in cables and relay according to wiring diagram in TJ 4920.
Then select "Continue".
Continue - Checking the type of Engine control module (ECM)
-------------------------------------------------
Checking the type of Engine control module (ECM)
Check the part no. of the Engine control module (ECM) to determine if the control module corresponds with the engine type that is in the vehicle.
Is the Engine control module (ECM) the correct one?
Yes - Checking for a short-circuit to voltage
No - Replacing a component
-------------------------------------------------
Replacing a component
Install a new Engine control module (ECM) with correct part no.
Caution! The Engine control module (ECM) must not be connected until at least 10 seconds after the ignition has been switched off and the blower fan has stopped running.
Select "Continue" when the fault has been remedied.
