Try to start the engine.

Does the engine start?

- Ignition off.
The fault can have been caused by temporary interference in the communication between the engine control module (ECM) and immobilizer control module.
Check ground terminals for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring And Terminals. Intermittent Faults.





Select "Continue" when the fault has been remedied.

The fault can have been caused by too large a difference in voltage between the engine control module (ECM) and immobilizer control module.
