- Ignition on
- Check that all doors are shut.
Try locking the rear doors to, and unlocking them from, the child safe position using the childlock switch.
Is the function OK?
Yes - Intermittent fault
No - Checking the childlock switch

- Remove the childlock switch
- Disconnect the childlock switch.
Read off the childlock switch status.
If the value is now HIGH it means that the childlock switch is defective.
Is the value correct?
Yes - Replacing the component
No - Checking the wiring

Try a new childlock switch.

Check the cable between control module terminal #A21 and childlock switch terminal #3 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Read off the childlock switch status.
The value should be HIGH when the childlock switch is unaffected and LOW when it is pressed to the locking position.
