Checking cables
Check signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal 48 and mass air flow (MAF) sensor terminal 1 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground and remedy according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring And Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
If no fault is found in the above fault-tracing try a new intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. Replacing the mass air flow (MAF) sensor .
