Checking cables
Check signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal and injector terminal 2 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground and remedy according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring And Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
If no faults are found in the above fault-tracing try a new injector.
