Signal too high. Permanent fault

Checking the wiring




- Ignition off
- Check the resistance of the camshaft reset valve between terminals #1 and #2. Resistance should be approximately 7 ohms
- Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #62 and camshaft reset valve terminal #2 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault
- Remedy as necessary.

- After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.
- Restore components and connectors.
- Start the engine. Allow the engine to idle.




- Activate reading out of the engine temperature by clicking on the symbol for VCT2000.
- Check that the engine temperature is above 50 °C.

Select Continue when the temperature is above 50 °C.

- Rev the engine to 4,000 rpm a couple of times.
- Check if the trouble code's status has changed to intermittent. If the trouble code's status has changed to intermittent, the problem is solved.

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
