Checking wiring and connectors




- Ignition off
- Check the connector on the camshaft reset valve. Check for loose connections according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring And Terminals. Intermittent Faults. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring And Terminals. Intermittent Faults
- Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #62 and camshaft reset valve terminal #2. Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring And Terminals. Intermittent Faults
- Check the power supply cable between system relay terminal #5 (87) and camshaft reset valve terminal #1. Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring And Terminals. Intermittent Faults
- Remedy as necessary
- Try a new camshaft reset valve if no fault is found during the above fault-tracing.
