- If the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are stored simultaneously, there is an open-circuit or short-circuit to ground in the common signal cable from the junction point to ECC control module connector terminal 22.
- Ignition off.
- Connectors connected.
- Disconnect the ECC control module.
- Check the cable from ECC control module connector terminal 22 to the junction point for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault or a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: Check after repair that the fault has been rectified.












- Ignition off.
- Connect the connectors, reinstall components etc.
- ECC control module connected.
- Ignition on.
- VCT 2000 connected to data link connector (DLC).
Establish communication with the ECC system.
