Checking the wiring




- Ignition off.
Check the following cables: Check the cable between control module connector P #14 (#B34) and the instrument lighting in the combined instrument panel. Check the cable between control module connector P #15 (#B35) and the information center lighting. Check the cable between control module B2 #22 (#A22) and the lighting in the heater control, the cigarette lighter, ECC, the gear selector for the automatic transmission, the switch for the passenger airbag, the switch for central locking, the switch for child proof locks. Check the cable between control module connector B2 #23 (#A23) and the radio lighting. Check all these cables for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Activate the instrument lighting at 42% and 100% strength.
Check that the luminance of the instrument lighting changes.

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
