Check the cable between control module connector P #8 (#B28) and connector #2 for the fog lamp switch for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault , contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault and a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Try a new switch if no fault is found in the cable.
Remedy as necessary.

- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Turn the rheostat between its limit positions. Read off the angle of turn. The value must change between 0° and 60°.
