Checking components and wiring




- Ignition off.
Check that fuse 14 in the integrated relay / fusebox in the passenger compartment is intact.
Check the cable between control module connector F #10 (#B10) and fuse 14 in the passenger compartment fusebox for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault and contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the cable between fuse 14 in the passenger compartment fusebox and windshield wiper motor connector #3, control module connector F #10 (#B10), control module B2 #24 (#A24), control module connector B2 #2 (#A2), control module B1 #12 (#A42) and rear windshield washer fluid pump #1 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the following cables. Check the cable between control module connector B2 #13 (#A13) and connector #1 for the windshield wiper motor. Check the cable between control module connector B2 #11 (#A11) and connector #3 for the rear windshield wiper motor. Check the cable between control module connector B2 #261 (#A26) and connector #2 for the rear windshield wiper motor. Check these cables for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Read off the signal from the ignition switch. The value must be Position 2.





Is the value Position 2?

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
