Checking components and wiring




- Ignition off.
Check the cable between control module connector P #17 (#B37) and connector #9 for the lighting switch and the cable between control module connector P #18 (#B38) and connector #13 for the lighting switch for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Try a new switch if no fault is found in the cables.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Turn the lighting switch to position 1. Read off the signal to the parking lamps. The value must be On.
