EEPROM Memory Fault
EEPROM memory fault
Checking the control module
- Ignition off.
- Wait approximately 150 seconds.
- Start the engine
The EEPROM in the control module stores diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), diagnostic trouble code (DTC) counters and frozen values. If the memory circuit is malfunctioning, no information can be read from it. Simulate a fault to check the condition of the memory. This stores a diagnostic trouble code (DTC). The memory can then be checked by reading off the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information.
- Disconnect the 6-pin transmission connector. Solenoid-related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) will be stored.
- Wait approximately 30 seconds.
