Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Condition

If the car is equipped with an alarm, the alarm must be deactivated using the remote control or, in certain markets, via the lock cylinder in the driver's door. If the alarm is deployed, when the remote control is not activated, it should be possible to deactivate it by inserting an approved ignition key into the ignition switch and switching on the ignition. The engine can then be started. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) GLA-455 is stored if the Immo-VGLA code is faulty.

Condition

- No substitute value.

Possible source

- A used immobilizer system has been installed.
- A used VGLA control module has been installed.
- A non-approved or defective key.

Condition

- The starter motor does not turn.
- Alarm indicator LED lit.
