Removing EVAP hose





Caution!
Hose must not be cutoff with a side cutter or hacksaw. This will deform the hose.

- Cut thru the EVAP hose (B) 50 mm (2.0"), from the end of the hose, as per illustration.

Do not slit the hose.

- Discard hose.

- Deburr edge of hose, ensuring no debris gets into the tank.

Installing EVAP hose





- Lubricate the outside of the plastic hose with part number 1161580.

Note!
The specified lubricant 1161580 MUST be used when installing the new hose over the old cut off end. The lubricant will have a certain adhesive effect, while drying out, which ensures a tight seal.

Install:

- plastic tube to remaining, EVAP hose

- clamp on EVAP hose,

- EVAP hose, press rubber hose over plastic hose at least 30 mm (1 3/16"),

- install the clamp screw according to the illustration. Tighten clamp to 2.5 Nm (1.5 ft.lb).
