Clearing Trouble Codes

GENERAL
The Scan Tool (ST) and memory cassette make it possible to communicate with the car's various control modules. By connecting the Volvo ST to the Data Link Connector (DLC) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can be read and erased, components and functions can be activated, output and input signals can be read, functions reset etc.

CONNECTING THE VOLVO SCAN TOOL (ST)
- Ignition off.
- Install memory cassette.
- Connect Volvo ST with cabling to DLC.
- Ignition on.
- Power up the Volvo ST.
- Select language, car and group of functions.
- Select system.
- Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST to erase DTCs, activate components/functions and reset adaptations.
- Select ERASE DTC to erase DTCs, counters and frozen values.
