Checking For A Short-circuit
- Check cable between EVAP canister shut-off valve terminal 2 and engine control module (ECM) # B19 for a short-circuit to ground.
- Proceed to: Verification section below.





Verification
After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:

- Ignition OFF.
- EVAP canister shut-off valve and engine control module connected.
- Ignition ON.
- Select Volvo Scan Tool (ST) to activate EVAP canister shut-off valve.
- The EVAP canister shut-off valve "clicks" when it is activated.
- Is the EVAP canister shut-off valve working?

If reading is OK:
^ Fault corrected.

If reading is incorrect:
^ Fault not found.
