Signal Too Low. Permanent Fault

Checking for a Short-circuit
- Check cable between canister purge (CP) valve terminal 2 and engine control module (ECM) # A39 for a short-circuit to ground.
- Proceed to: Verification section below.





Verification
After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:

- Ignition OFF.
- Canister purge valve and control module connected.
- Ignition ON.
- Activate canister purge valve.
- A "clicking sound" can be heard from the canister purge valve when it is activated.
- Is the canister purge valve working?

If reading is OK:
^ Fault corrected.

If reading is incorrect:

The verification result shows that the fault persists.

Yes:

No:
