Checking Cables and Terminals
- Check canister purge (CP) valve and/or engine control module (ECM) connector for contact resistance, oxidation and loose connections.
- Check cable between canister purge valve terminal 1 and main relay (2/32) terminal 3 for an intermittent open-circuit.
- Check cable between canister purge valve terminal 2 and engine control module # A39 for an intermittent open-circuit.
