DTC EFI-442

4-4-2 PULSED SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM FLOW FAULT





Trouble Code Conditions
- The pulsed secondary air injection system (PAIR) is checked by disabling the long-term fuel trim and canister purge (CP) valve control. The engine control module (ECM) then checks the short-term fuel trim integrator, if it is at maximum diagnostic trouble code (DTC) EFI-442 Pulsed secondary air injection system will be stored.

Substitute value(s)
- Fuel trim disabled.

Possible source(s)
- This diagnostic trouble code is always stored together with EFI-446 Pulsed secondary air injection system valve, leakage or EFI-448 Pulsed secondary air injection system pump, flow too low.

Fault symptom(s)
- One can hear the pulsed secondary air injection system pump operating continuously.
