Trouble Code Conditions
- Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) EFI-311 is stored if engine speed (RPM) exceeds 3,330 rpm, internal load signal is above 6.5 ms and road speed is below 2 km/h (1.2 mph) for 7.5 seconds.

Substitute value(s)
- None.

Possible source(s)
- Short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in signal cable.
- Open-circuit in signal cable.
- Contact resistance in terminals.
- Defective speedometer.
- Fault in circuit between vehicle speed sensor (VSS) and combined instrument panel.

Fault symptom(s)
- No reading on speedometer, depending on fault cause.
