Signal Too High. Permanent Fault
Checking Injector
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect injector.
- Connect an ohmmeter between injector connector terminals 1 and 2.
- The ohmmeter should read approx. 16 ohms at +20°C (+68°F).
If reading is OK:
^ Check cable between injector connector terminal 2 and engine control module (ECM) # A10 (EFI- 115), # A24 (EFI-125), # A23 (EFI-135), # A43 (EFI-145), # A38 (EFI-155), # A9 (EFI-165) for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

If reading is incorrect:
^ Try a new injector.

Verification
After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:
- Ignition ON.
- Activate relevant injector according to Breakout Box charts.
- A clicking sound should be heard from the injector when it is activated.
- Is the injector working?
Yes:
^ Fault corrected.
No:

Fault-tracing Information
The verification result shows that the fault persists.
- Do you want to exit fault-tracing?
Yes:
^ Fault not corrected.
No:
