1-3-1 ENGINE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL





Trouble Code Condition(s)
- Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) EFI-131 is stored if the engine control module (ECM) does not receive a signal from the engine speed (RPM) sensor for 10 engine revolutions.

Substitute value(s)
- No fuel injection or ignition.

Possible source(s)
- Open-circuit in signal cable or ground lead.
- Short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in signal cable.
- Contact resistance in terminals.
- Defective engine speed (RPM) sensor.

Fault symptom(s)
- Engine does not start.
- Engine cuts out.
