EEPROM, Fault In Memory
Checking The Transmission Control Module
- Ignition OFF.
- Wait for about 150 seconds.
- Ignition ON.
- The EEPROM in the control module stores diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), diagnostic trouble code counters and frozen values. If the EEPROM memory is malfunctioning then no information can be read from it. To check the condition of the memory it is necessary to simulate a fault so that a diagnostic trouble code is stored and then check that the memory is working by reading off the diagnostic trouble code information.
