Preparations Before Installing Rear Window Outer Strip

Note!
Both strip and vehicle should be at room temperature.

Note!
The surface to which strip is to be glued must be free from dirt and grease.

Remove any remaining adhesive or tape using a cleaning agent, for example, isopropyl alcohol, naphtha or chemical-free petrol.

Note!
Allow for adequate ventilation.





Mask with 7 or 9 mm (0.3 or 0.35") masking tape around window opening as shown in figure.

Masking should be 7-9 mm (0.3 or 0.35") from edge (C), see figure.

Sand surface where strip was installed using 1000 or 1200 grade abrasive-paper, as shown by shaded part of figure.

Note!
Clean dust from surface using a cleaning agent, for example, isopropyl alcohol, naphtha or chemical-free petrol.
