Location of Components, Cruise Control (Passenger Compartment - Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch, Automatic Transmission):

- The fault is permanent.
- The control module is correctly connected.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in cable between control module connector terminal 3T and ground.
- Short-circuit to ground or voltage in cable between control module connector terminal 3T and ground.
- Defective Park/Neutral position (PNP) switch in automatic transmission.

Fault symptom[s]
- Cruise control does not disengage when the gear selector is moved from D to N.
- Cruise control does not engage.
- Car will not start.
