Without SIPS

- Remove the side compartment
- Remove seat belt mounting from seat.

Removing the head restraint




Removing the head restraint makes it easier to get the seat out of the car.
- Press just under the frame on the rear of the backrest.
- At the same time pull the head restraint up.

Seat removal





Remove:
- The panels (front) over the seat rails.
- 4 mounting bolts in the seat rails.
- Seat heating pad connector.
- Control module connector (under the seat; only applies to power seat with memory).
- Control panel connector (only applies to power seats without memory).




- Pull seat back against stop.
- Pull seat approx.. 5 mm (0.2 in.) forwards.
- Lift seat straight up so that guide rail locating pins come clear of keyholes" in floorpan.
- Lay or stand the seat on a clean surface.

Reinstalling

Installing seat

Reinstall in reverse order.


NOTE: Tighten seat in the order described below. If this is not done the seat may not be oriented correctly.


- First tighten the rear inner mounting bolt.
- Then continue with both the front mounting bolts.
- Finally tighten the rear outer mounting bolt. Tightening torques, seat/floorpan: 50 Nm ± 10 Nm (37 ± 7 ft.lb).
