Tachometer Not Working at All

The tachometer may become inoperative due to one or more of the following:
- Open circuit in tachometer signal wiring from ignition control module.
- Tachometer signal wiring from ignition control module short circuited to ground or battery potential.
- Defective tachometer.
- Defective ignition control module.
