Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

Starter motor does not operate when ignition switch is turned to start engine.

Symptom Diagnosis:

G1 Checking battery
Switch on high beams and turn ignition switch to "start position". Check headlights.

G2 Checking control circuit

Symptom Diagnosis:

Connect a separate lead between battery B+ and terminal 50 on starter motor.
