Installation

CAUTION:
- Before commencing work, read and observe general information on repair and replacement of A/C "System Components". Vehicle Damage Warnings

- The air receiver contains a desiccant whose purpose is to absorb any moisture present in the system. For this reason, air must not be allowed to enter the air receiver otherwise the moisture in the air will be absorbed. The air receiver must not remain unplugged for longer than a total of approx. 5 minutes. If the total time is longer, the unit must be replaced. If in doubt, replace the air receiver after 2-3 years of service.

1. Fill new air receiver with same quantity of compressor oil, approx. 80-100 ml (0.084-0.100 qt), measured in original unit.





2. Install:
- pipe between air receiver and evaporator
- hose between air receiver and compressor. Use new 0-rings. Lubricate 0-rings with compressor oil.
3. Torque:
- pipe between air receiver and evaporator - 30 Nm (22 ft lb)
- hose between air receiver and compressor - 45 Nm (33 ft lb).

5. Reconnect battery ground lead.
