Check Connections Visually





Always check connections visually when carrying out tests and checks which involve taking connectors apart.

Checks:

- Look for oxidation which can affect contacts in connections.

- Check that pins and sleeves are intact, that they are properly locked in the connector and that copper cores are properly connected to pins/sleeves. Check pins and sleeves for the DTC concerned particularly.

- Test with a loose male pin to see if female pin gives a good contact and female pin stays on if the male pin is given a slight tug.
