Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation

AC Compressor Control:

PURPOSE
The ECU controls operation of the AC electromagnetic clutch to decrease engine load and prevent overheating.

OPERATION
The ECU prevents the AC clutch from operating when:
^ The throttle is fully open (as signaled from the throttle position switch).
^ Coolant temperature is above 115° C as signaled from the coolant temperature sensor.
