Neutral Safety Switch: Description and Operation

Neutral Safety Switch / Start Inhibitor Switch.

The gear selector lever is provided with a start inhibit function to prevent starting of the engine while a gear is selected.

This feature ensures that the engine can be start only in position P or N, preventing the vehicle from moving accidentally at the instant of starting.
