Pump Seal

V. 0il pump seal ring, replacement

Special tools: 999 5069, 5117

V1

Remove torque converter.

Pull the torque converter straight out of the transmission.
Check the torque converter throat for damage.

Remove seal ring for oil pump-torque converter







Use extractor 9995069.

Install a new seal ring.







Use drift 9995117.

NOTE: Drift 9995117 modified

Reinstall torque converter








Lubricate torque converter throat with ATF oil.

NOTE: Take care not to damage the oil pump during installation.

Make sure torque converter is as far into the transmission as possible. Check with a ruler. The distance between the cover and retaining tabs should be approximately 14 mm (0.55").
