New Tightening Torque for Steel Low Pressure Switch 850
REFERENCE: TP 31861/2, SECTION 8 (87), CLIMATE CONTROL 850 1992-
The low pressure switch for the A/C system has been revised from a plastic housing to a steel housing. The plastic housing version is no longer available. When installing the new style pressure switch use the revised torque specification.
Information on new tightening torque for the low pressure switch with steel housing must be inserted in the following manuals:
- Service Manual Section 8 (87) Climate control 850 1992-, TP 3186112 page 4.
- Part Number for steel housing - 1343215-8.
- Pocket Data Booklet Cars 700, 850, 900 1991-, -1994, TP 0302032, 850 section, page 68.
In the service manual page 4 and the Pocket Data Booklet page 68, at point 10 "Pressostat 3 Nm". This refers to a pressostat with a plastic housing. Please add the following to point 10 in both cases:
10. Pressostat (switch) (steel housing 8 Nm, 6 ft.lbs) plastic 3 Nm (2 ft. lbs).
Tightening Torque for Low Pressure Pressostat with Housing Type:
Steel 8 Nm 6 ft. lbs.
Plastic 3 Nm 2 ft. lbs.
