Adequate eye and ear protection should be worn at all times when performing the following procedures.
1. Ensure safety device is attached to sensor unit.
2. Secure air bag module in a suitable vise. Position air unit so that cushion is facing away from sensor unit.
3. Ensure no people or animals are near air bag unit, and that no loose objects are nearby.
4. Position sensor unit as far away from air bag unit as possible.
5. While standing as far away from air bag unit as possible, strike middle of sensor unit with a hammer, Fig. 31.
