Lower Rear Lens, Replacement

LOWER REAR LENS, REPLACEMENT

Note:
Upper rear lens must be removed prior to removing the lower rear lens (see C1).

Remove cover on D-post panel.

Remove bulbholder by releasing plastic catch at bottom.

Remove lens by removing nuts (2) from retaining screws.

Remove:




- outer rear floor hatch cover on both sides.
- cover on side panel, by twisting locking ring through 90°.

Open:

- center rear floor hatch cover.




- Remove tailgate sill moulding, by removing (9) mounting Torx screws. Carefully release spring clips (2) on each side (1) by pulling inward.

Note:
Retract luggage cover blind (if fitted) before removing sill moulding.

Release:

- cover in upper section of D-post panel. Pull panel inward (1).




- rear section of side panel. Pull panel inward to gain access to light mounting screws (2).

Note:
Complete removal of panels not necessary.

Remove bulbholder by releasing plastic catches at top and bottom.

Remove lens by removing nuts (2) from retaining screws.

Installation

Reinstall:




- lower rear lens.
- nuts.

Caution:
Tighten carefully to avoid damage to lens.

Reinstall:




- side panel.
- lower section of D-post panel.

Reinstall:




- lower rear light bulbholder
- side panel cover.

Reinstall:




- tailgate sill moulding.
- center rear and outer rear floor hatch covers (each side).

Reinstall:




- upper rear lens.
- nuts.

Caution:
Tighten carefully to avoid damage to lens.

Reinstall:




- upper rear light bulbholder.
- cover on D-post panel.

Reinstall outer rear floor hatch cover.
