Section F - Malfunction on Opening

STIFF OPENING

This section describes how to repair the sunroof sticking when opening.

JAMMING ON OPENING

OCCURS:

^ The sunroof cannot be fully opened.

ANALYSIS METHOD:

^ Open sunroof at the rear edge.

^ Use a flashlight to inspect the rear between inner and outer roof.




^ Check if the insulation which is fastened to the inside of the outer roof has dropped down.

ACTION:

- Remove sunroof, gutter and sunshade according to the service manual:

- Use glue or tape to attach the insulation correctly to the roof.

Note
Small sections hanging down can be cut away.

- Reinstall sunroof, gutter and sunshade according to service manual:

Section 8(82-86, 88) interior, exterior 850- 1993-.

- Test sunroof operation and check that it opens fully.
