Replacement of Central Locking Motor/Cable Harness Switch
BREPLACEMENT OF CENTRAL LOCKING MOTOR INCLUDING CABLE HARNESS AND SWITCH
Remove:
- central locking motor (A)
- switch (B) for interior and courtesy lighting. The switch has two fasteners. Bend fasteners and then pull straight up. Refer to operation E.
- switch (C) for alarm. Discard the fasteners (D) if they have been fused. See section C at NOTE!
- 2 screws (E) on central locking motor (A).
Remarks:
Central locking motor and switches, together with cable harness, is a complete replacement part unit. Refer to the replacement parts table and the Parts Catalog.

INSTALL:
- a new central locking motor (A).
- switch for interior lighting (B) in its mounting.
- alarm switch (C) in its mounting (D).
- alarm switch with holder in its mounting and lock into position on the panel's other side using a locking plate (E) between the mounting pins (see illustration).
NOTE!
On older cars with chassis numbers up to 38700, the alarm switch holder is attached using fused locking and has to be replaced with a new holder including the locking plate. Refer to the replacement parts table and the Parts Catalog.
REINSTALL:
- cover on look, and lock in door according to operation description under F.
