This Service Bulletin replaces SB 8-83-804 of July 1993 which should be discarded.

REPLACEMENT OF SWITCH IN DOOR LOCK




To avoid replacement of the entire lock unit when there is only a fault on the switch for the interior/courtesy lighting or on the alarm switch the switches are now stocked as replacement items (see table).

Sealed switches for interior/courtesy lighting will be stocked.

Installation of the sealed switch is described in section E.

For part numbers list refer to illustrated table above.

Removal of lock from door and disassembly of lock A.
Replacement of central locking motor B and C.
including cable harness and switch

Replacement of switch for alarm C.
Replacement of switch for interior lighting E.
Reassembly of lock and reinstallation in door F.
