Central Locking Inoperable on Filler Cover




NOTE: If filler cover is locked, it may be unlocked manually using the emergency release located under a separate cover in the upper front section of the right-hand luggage compartment panel. Pull lever backwards to unlock.





H1: Checking Electrical Operation Of Central Locking Unit, Filler Cover

Switch off ignition.
Open filler cover.
Lock central locking system from right front door with door key.
Check that locking lever in filler cover central locking unit is moved to locked position.
Unlock central locking system from right front door with door key.
Check that locking lever in filler cover central locking unit is moved to unlocked position.





If central locking unit can be operated electrically:
Mechanical fault in either the filler cover or filler cover central locking unit.

Check that locking lever operates without sticking, lubricate filler cover and locking lever if necessary. Correct fault or replace faulty component.

If central locking unit cannot be operated electrically:
Check central locking motor winding (filler cover motor) as per C14.
