Noise from interior fittings can sometimes occur in the car. The types of noise described in this Service Bulletin are the most commonly reported and can occur when driving on uneven road surfaces. Certain noises can also occur during other types of driving. These are described separately.

This Service Bulletin describes where the source of noise can be found and the procedure to repair it.




Chassis number ranges given indicate where conditions have been most common.

Caution:
Extra care should be taken when working on dashboards with wood trim.

Particular care must be taken when carrying out repairs to SRS-equipped cars. For further information, refer to appropriate SM.
