Console: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation:





- Turn ignition off.
- Remove screws from front of cigarette lighter compartment.
- Remove cigarette lighter compartment, pull carefully back.
- Undo cigarette lighter contact and light





- Remove panel underneath handbrake lever.
- Remove cover from storage compartment.
- Remove screws under cover in storage compartment.
- Remove screws on front of tunnel compartment.





- Disconnect connector at front of tunnel compartment.





- In manual models, before removing Tunnel Compartment, undo gearshift curtain at connection to tunnel compartment.
- Pull tunnel compartment carefully upwards.
- Remove tunnel compartment from car.
- Install in reverse order of removal noting the following:





1. When Installing gearshift curtain (manual models only), insert curtain through opening in tunnel console and press frame into tunnel bracket.
2. When installing tunnel compartment, take care not to crack tunnel compartment.
3. Test control panel switches, cigar lighter and light, and other related electrical accessories/components.
