Hood release adjust/modify





This bulletin describes the adjustments and modifications necessary to the engine hood and safety catch of 1994 models where it is difficult to release the hood.





Adjust the hole in the front piece
- File front edge off to 3 +/- 1.5 mm and 15~ +/- 5~ according to illustration.
- Round corner (1) to a radius of 2.1 mm.
- File burrs away from corners and edges.

NOTE:
In some cases, it can become necessary to file a little more of the front edge of the hole; that is, the measurement of 3 +/- 1.5 mm may need to be increased a little.





Adjust safety catch
- Round the corner (A) on the safety catch about 1 mm with a file.
- Loosen the screws (B) and move the secondary hood catch as far forward as possible.
- Perform function check.
