Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Turn ignition switch to Off position, then disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove drivers seat rail retaining screws, then tilt seat backward.
3. Fold back carpet, then remove crash sensor.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque crash sensor nuts to 7.5 ft. lbs. Sensor must be mounted securely to ensure correct operation of airbag.
b. Clear fault codes.
