Install the transmission
- Use the transmission fixture and the lift unit to line up the transmission with the engine.
NOTE!
Make sure the transmission mates cleanly with the engine without catching the clutch plate centre.
- Replace the seven bolts and tighten crosswise, beginning with A and B which pass through the guide sleeves.
^ Use light pressure when tightening, do not tighten
^ completely. Check the transmission and engine
^ surfaces mate all the way round.
^ Tighten the bolts crosswise to 50 Nm (36 ft. lbs).
NOTE!
Correct tightening is important. Misalignment between the transmission and engine can cause transmission noise.
