All Gauges Inoperative

Conditions:

VDO Instrument Cluster W/Turbo:

- No gauges on instrument panel working.

Sources of fault:
- Fuse has blown.
- Open-circuit in 15 V supply.
- Open-circuit in signal ground.

1) Checking Instrument Panel Warning Lights:





- Ignition on.
- See if warning lights come on.

If warning lights come on:
- Open-circuit in signal lead between instrument panel terminal # A15 and ground point 31/51.
- Check signal ground lead for open-circuit. Checking Cables and Terminals

If warning lights do not come on:
- Check fuses.
- If fuse is OK when checked, fault is in 15 V supply between terminal # A18 and terminal 3 on 15 V discharge relay 2/31.
- Check 15 V supply lead for open-circuit. Checking Cables and Terminals
