Diagnostic Trouble Code 2-2-3
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 2-2-3Circuit: transmission shift lever connector to 3T
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 2-2-3 is obtained when the transmission shift lever is shifted from D to N or vice versa. When the transmission shift lever is shifted from D to N, the cruise control is disengaged. Resistance from 3T to ground then goes from high to low.
If the code is not obtained when the transmission shift lever is moved, the resistance between terminal 3T and ground remains constant. Check signal to 3T.
Check signal to 3T F1
Remove cover from fuses and relays in the engine compartment. Remove control module of the cruise control.
Attach ohmmeter between ground and terminal 3T in the control module base. With the transmission shift lever in the P and N positions, the ohmmeter should show 0 ohm resistance and with the transmission shift lever in the other positions, the resistance should be infinite.
If the change occurs when the transmission shift lever is moved: try with another control module. If there is no change: check the wire between 3T and the starter, including the start inhibitor switch.
