Filling of A/C System In Car With Refrigerant

FILLING OF A/C SYSTEM IN CAR WITH REFRIGERANT FROM RHS 3000

Vehicle Damage Warnings

NOTE: Low-pressure connection should be used if unit must be filled with refrigerant from separate storage container. This may be carried out while draining A/C system in car through high-pressure connection. If filling refrigerant in liquid form, quantify should not exceed 2 kg (4.409 lb) to avoid damage to compressor.

Filling:
1. Check SPECIFICATIONS to determine correct quantity of refrigerant in A/C system.
Specifications
2. Check if system should be filled from high or low-pressure side.





3. Use rubber ring (32) on unit gauge glass (20) to indicate level which should be reached when quantity in A/C system is correct.





4. Press CHARGING (2) push-button. Observe level in unit gauge glass (20). Close cock (15) when level indicated by rubber ring is reached.
5. Close connection with car.
6. Press RECOVERY/RECLAIM (4) push-button. Open HIGH PRESSURE cock (15) again. Wait until green lamp goes out. Hose is now clear of refrigerant.
7. Close HIGH PRESSURE cock (15). Press RESET TEST push-button (5) and disconnect connection with car.
8. Carry out a final check using leak detector 951 1207.
