EZ-116K Impulse Sender (Engine Speed Sensor)


During February 1991, EZ-116K impulse sender, p/n 1389399-5, was superseded by p/n 3547847-8. The new impulse sender has different specifications for fault tracing. Late production p/n 1389399-5 has the same specification as 3547847-8, and is identified by a white dot on the connector. You must properly identify the sender to ensure correct comparison of specifications.

Fault tracing specifications for impulse senders (speed sensors):


Sensor 1389399-5 (older type): 240 +/- 25 ohm at 20~C 300 +/- 25 ohm at 125~C


Sensor 3547847-8 (newer type)
or 1389399-5 with white dot: 170 +/- 30 ohm at 20~C 212 +/- 30 ohm at 125~C


Note: The new sender is mounted with a new bracket, p/n 3507510-0. If when replacing a sender, it does not fit easily into the original bracket with finger pressure, the new-type bracket must also be installed.
